Audience psychographic profile

A female British citizen in her twenties who has a steady and well-paid job/career, probably in the C1/B socio-economic group. She grew up in a middle-class family as and is well educated, having gone to university to do a degree. She also grew up in a rural area but then relocated to an urban environment for her work. She probably wouldn't be a police officer or detective as the narrative follows a pair of female detectives and she would, therefore, want to escape her reality after work rather than watch a show based around it. She wouldn't necessarily follow a particular religion and would probably be white due to the predominantly white cast.

She would like anything with a mysterious element as she is curious and also enjoys problem-solving and therefore does puzzles in magazines and newspapers. She is also quite social and spends time out with her friends after work during the week. She would spend her weekends also meeting with her friends, but would also attend exercise classes in the mornings in order to meet new people and as she is athletic. This woman would also be rather aspirational and hopes to achieve a high status in her career. However, she would one day like to have a family, she currently doesn't have any children.

Evaluation

Overall, I think the Audio-Visual aspect of the coursework could have gone a lot better. I was happy with the narrative and what I got filmed but I struggled when it didn't reach the required time limit. Therefore, I had to rush to film some more footage and edit it together to make the title sequence which I wasn't too pleased with. There's also a lot of fillers between the dialogue as the people playing the characters weren't too confident with the script. I felt a lot better about my magazine cover as I think I used a lot of the magazine conventions that I wanted to use. I think my double page spread was maybe a bit too overcrowded but I wanted to make sure I could fit in some stills of the programme in order to have more convergence between the two products. I also feel a lot better about the main photos used for the magazine as they had direct eye contact with he audience whereas the ones I previously used didn't.

Possible Location 2

I personally think this location is better than the previous one as it has more open space and a clearer entrance. It is similarly derelict, contributing to the atmosphere and tone of the scene. Also, it is also clearly in a rural environment, so stays with what I wanted for the mise-en-scene. However, it is quite close to some allotments so there may be people nearby making some noise but it shouldn't be too distracting.
